Cutting it for Cancer – Rowena Poole, 2nd Brown Belt

Anyone that has met me within the last 25 years will have only ever known me with long hair – this includes my husband!!

I am shaving it all off to raise as much money as I can, for Cancer Research.

Not the ‘Cancer Research’ that advertises on the TV.

The money will be going directly to a Cancer Research Lab. where the research and breakthroughs are made. Not into any CEO’s pockets.

I will also be donating my hair (all 22 ins – almost 56 cms, so far) to be made into Wigs for Children with Cancer

My beautiful Mum has this awful disease and I want her to know that I am doing everything I can to help her in her fight. She will never be fighting this on her own!

I have set up a page for donations.

My goal is to raise £1,000 by September 3rd (the date I have set for the shave), but I will keep the page open for a while after that date in case anyone fancies donating after the event.

All donations would be welcomed. Large and small. Please give generously, as Cancer needs to be stopped!
